My favorite curtain are any that hide my personal life in my house at night.

  • Diane Krumenaker Eugenio

My favorite curtain is the one on any Broadway stage. This was one of advantages of growing up in Brooklyn. It wasn’t a far trip to Manhattan. My parents took us to many Broadway plays when I was growing up. To this day, I still love and appreciate a good play.

  • Pamela Cunningham

I LOVE THE RED VELVET CURTAINS IN THE STRAND THEATER IN SHREVEPORT LOUISIANA AND THE VELVET CURTAINS AT THE DRAMA THEATER IN DOWNTOWN GALVESTON BOTH OF THESE THEATERS WERE BUILT AT THE TURN OF THE CENTURY AND HAVE SURVIVED. THE CURTAINS HAVE THESE LONG TWILLED FRINGES THAT HANG OFF THE CURTAIN FOR ABOUT 6 TO 7 INCHES AND IN SOME CASES LONGER. THE WALLPAPER HAS A DESIGN THAT IS FLOCKED IN THE VELVET THE SAME COLOR AS THE CURTAINS. ALSO THE SEATS ARE THE SAME RED AS THE CURTAINS. TO THINK THIS WAS DONE OVER $100 YEARS AGO AND CONTINUES ON TODAY. MUCH TO THE DELIGHT OF THEATER/HISTORICAL BUFFS LIKE ME. IF YOU ARE EVER IN SHREVEPORT OR GALVESTON YOU MUST GO TO THE THEATER DISTRICT AND TAKE A TOUR OF THE THEATERS. THE GALVESTON CURTAINS ARE SUPPOSEDLY HAUNTED AND HAVE BEEN TO GO UP AND DOWN WHEN NO ONE WAS IN THE THEATER.

  • Pamela Haggerty

I love any curtains that that can make the room dark I hate to wake up to the sun in the am.

  • Suzanne

Remember the movie “Blue Velvet” that was creepy and unique? I once made blue velvet curtains for a bedroom and that was long before the movie came out. I also liked velvet for jumpsuits and yoga pants (or exercise pants). Theater curtains made out of velvet are traditional. They remind me of lazy summer days when my brother and I would spend the afternoon in the movie theater watching 2 films for one price. Great times! Overall, I’d have to say movie theater curtains made from velvet.

  • Tawny

My favorite curtain was one my mom put up in my sister and i’s room when we were younger so we would each have our own space. We felt like we each had our own room even though we didnt

  • Leslie Anne Soloman

I like decorative shower curtains. My idea is to change them weekly and especially each holiday.

  • Deb

My favorite curtain is the one that I made for my kitchen window. It’s red roses, leopard print, and black and white checks. I love Mackenzie Childs but can’t afford the real thing, so I’m pretty good at knocking it off.

    • Carol Miller

OMG Deb. I love Mackenzie Child’s. I did a vacation at the Finger Lakes and visited their store and toured their show house. Supposedly, they have a huge sale once a year and, they told us that customers come The night before and camp out in the parking lot. If you can duplicate their designs you are a miracle worker.

      • Deb

I’m so jealous. I would love to visit their store. I can’t duplicate them exactly, but good enough for my budget. They are sooo expensive.

  • Malia D.

My favorite curtain would have to be my leopard print shower curtain…lol it’s just so beautiful and so ME! I’m a leopard print fanatic & a lot of those prints are cheap looking but not my shower curtain! It’s bootiful 🙂

  • Ray Ayala

My favourite curtains are the one’s on Let’s Make A Deal, because no matter which one you pick, you will have more than when the game show started. I always pick Curtain #3! (They still can’t get rid of the pool table behind #2 and #1 is always bad news.)

  • ramadevi

My husband works in theater and coincidentally the answer is the theater curtains. The theater name is Cannon and it is very old and has very royal look with golden work on the walls and on the ceiling too. It is one of the city attractions too. It has long beautiful curtains on the stage and balconies. They looked very beautiful, last week we went to see a show. I cant chose any other curtain for now, still I have the view of the theater with those red velvet curtains hanging down to the floor in my eyes.

  • Timothy Mccollum

I love my silk curtains in my bedroom and the silk sheets it awesome baby….

  • rose morgan

The one that took me hours to pick out from stores and catalogues, but was worth it.

  • Carol Miller

My favorite curtains are the ones I made for my granddaughte Molly’s bedroom. They are pink with white ribbon ties. They match the pink bed skirt on her bed. The reason they are my favorite is because Molly has told me so many times that she likes them. Anything that makes her happy makes me happy.

  • Mayfair116

My favorite curtains are my total blackout in the bedroom. Cool in summer, warmer in winter and a totally dark room to sleep.

  • Judith Nelson

I loved the curtains we had in our caravan when we lived at Coober Pedy in the far north of South Australia.. We lived about 25 miles out of Coober Pedy .By having the curtains that we had ,when I pulled them shut they stopped the caravan from getting very hot,and I felt safer when the curtains were closed. They were curtains that had a block out on the back of them to help block the sun out,and the sun could get very hot there.

  • MyKinKStar

Yikes . . . Gonna go with my first thought here and say my shower curtain because it’s got a clear part in it that not only lets light into the bathtub, but allows me to see the room to be sure no one sneaks up on me. Well I live alone (now with just 2 boyZ, my cats), but have had a few different fuzzybuttZ over the years who would ‘visit’ me and peak behind the curtain or some of them just sit and wait.

  • edeliz

Any curtain that allows me privacy in my home. I just want to disconnect once I get in and just want my privacy.

  • Lynda Tock

I love toppers. They decorate your windows, but still let the beautiful sunshine in. If you need to block the light, a pull down shade is very easy to hide under one.

  • Zhulin Gao

My lamp has a fairy curtain. When I turn it on, it looks dizzy and I can fall asleep so quickly!

Curtains I used to have in Dustin’s too, they were Disney. I still have them and probably always will. Great memories. Pooh, Rabbit, Tigger, and Eeyore.

  • AK G

Curtains you can’t see through … They are meant for privacy in most cases.

  • Noel Stewart

Opera curtains are my favorite curtains. When the curtains open I am transported into a new world with music & voice. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/d907119ca6cecc7f8026d311cd99e9aa0dd57afc63ec796d681cd6a493b14859.jpg

Happy childhood memories of our Yorkshire Nanna involved her draught-proof curtains which hung from ceiling to floor across the glass French doors which in summer opened out to her garden. We little girls would hide in the alcove the curtains created and take turns to make an entrance and entertain the adults with a little dance, song or recitation…..and the reward for this performance was ‘one pick from the sweetie jar.’

  • 77giggles

My favorite curtains I had hanging up in front of the French doors at my house (I have since moved). They consisted of 2 panels, each with half of a garden scene on them. The space between my doors and the neighbor’s fence wasn’t big enough to put a patio in, but those curtains looked so relaxing hanging..

  • justinkeene

My all time favorite curtain is Phantom of Opera. Very wonderful curtain to see the Phantom of The Opera. Was thinking curtain as being in the theaters

  • Heather Alex Nunn

Without a doubt it is my own personal ‘mental’ curtain that I will routinely drop in order to cut off as much as possible of anything {that be visual, verbal, or just someone not favorable} of a negative energy/vibe in order to preserve not only my POSITIVE mindset & positive energy that guarantees my continuance down the right path of life.

  • April

The lacy curtains that were in my room when I arrived at my new house when I was 9 years old. My grandma picked them out, and when I walked in my bedroom was all “set up”. I didn’t want to move, but that helped me feel better. I always felt like a princess in that room when I looked at those curtains.

  • Kristina North Hastings

My favorite curtains are the red ones like the one in the picture at The Phantom of the Opera!!!

  • Natania

I love canopy bed curtains. It makes you feel like a princess when you are sleeping and also helps decorate your room. You can’t help but smile every day when you wake up. You can choose to tie the curtains up and leave it open or untie them and let them loose. Either way looks elegant and beautiful and helps you enjoy going to bed.
