  • ramadevi

No one believes if I say it louder- its me. I can say lioness since I am woman. I guide myself, criticize myself and teach myself etc. Inside me there is roaring lioness. I roar inside when things doesn’t work as planned or as expected. It is not easy to keep me calm when I am in some problem or situation where it needs leadership and initiation. I keep talking to myself and express it with my family or co-workers to do the job. I do observe things very closely and I try to keep things organized and think for good. No troubles and no worries. I am calm outside but inside the thoughts keep coming like waves to do things in right way and for good results. In our lives there is struggle and worries we have to hear ourselves first and try yo do things for togetherness and love. So in every ones personality there is a lion or lioness inside. In some situations we need to be like that to deal with our lives.

  • dolfanatl

My favorite lion is the male lion on the Animal Kingdom safari. He just lays around all day and roars. Kind of like me!

  • Carol Miller

My favorite Lion is definitely Mufasa from the Lion King. Mufasa actually means King and he is the embodiment of what a true king should be. He rules with fairness and deep insight. He teaches Simba by example. He is the diametric opposite of his brother, Scar. Scar is inherently mean, jealous and evil. When Mufasa is suddenly killed by a stampede instigated by Scar, Simba is banished. However, he remembers all that his father taught him. Mufasa even appears to Simba in the clouds to direct him to go back and take his rightful place on the prairie. Scar’s evilness has destroyed the lion’s food supply and habitat. Simba needs to restore his fellow lions’ dignity which his father instilled in him. I believe the main reason I love Mufasa so much is because he proves that goodness and integrity always win over evil. ( I saw Lion King on Broadway and it was one of the most memorable shows.)

  • bhjustice

Simba in The Lion King, the only animated movie that I MUST have Kleenex available…

It’s considered an invasive species in the west Atlantic, the Carribean Sea, and the Meditaranean Sea. They can live from five to fifteen years eatting mostly small fish which they swallow whole. They’re known by many names; Zebra, Butterfly, and FireFish, to name a few, and are native to the Indo-Pacific. These fish are highly prized by aquarium owners for their bright colorations and remarkable fin displays. Did I mention that their fins are poisonous? Despite this the LionFish is one of the most beautiful fishes in the oceans and is a personal favorite. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/12f8e11ca8fbb7a733694f40b222d4620585a7157f626fd0cdfa43701ac81341.jpg

Cecil . . . The end of his life meant the beginning of our end to trophy hunting and the so-called hunters who selfishly kill.

    • OceanGirl

Do not support the gaming/trophy hunting going on. Unfortunately, I read that Cecil’s son was also killed just a week or so ago. disgusting…

  • Lisa Cannon

Alex, the lion from the movie Madagascar! One of my favorite movie characters of all time, love the irony in his character considering he’s a non aggressive lion that’s a great dancer. Alex really teaches you to be who you want to be rather than being who others expect you to be 🙂

My favorite lion is the Nittany Lion. The Nittany Lion is the mascot of
Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pennsylvania. This mascot was chosen because it refers to the mountain lions that once were
fabled to roam near the school, and to Mount Nittany, a local landmark.

  • kandeels

Donovan, the lion at our local zoo. Before the lions took residence, we had tigers, both of whom passed away. Then came the lions and then the lion cub, Donovan!! When he turned one, they had a birthday party for him, everyone attended for the fun and games. Turns out Donovan and I share a birthday, although he is a bit younger!!! The girls want to go every year on his birthday now!!

  • Rebecca lee

My favourite lion is Clarence the cross eyed lion from the American tv show Daktari. Daktari was shown in the 1960’s and followed Dr. Marsh Tracy, a veterinarian at the fictional Wameru Study Centre for Animal Behaviour in East Africa. Clarence was a cross eyed lion which was one of Dr. Traceys pets. I once read somewhere that Clarence even had his own stunt double, who was made up to look like him for shots where they needed a snarling lion.

  • Ligia

My favorite Lion is The Cowardly Lion because he shows that there is something weak even behind strong features.

  • Wypalmtree

    leo the lion

  • Sylvia

It’s the lion from Aesop’s Fables entitled “The Lion and the Mouse”. I love this fables message of bravery, tolerance and friendship. This is a favorite story in my kindergarten classroom and really is relevant for five year olds and adults. My students are always amazed that the lion does not eat the mouse and the ending leaves them thinking about the real definition of power. It has nothing to do with size or brawn but rather its measured by humanity and compassion.

  • Aries13

  • Lambert the Sheepish Lion. A lion raised to believe he was a lamb.

    • Vero

      I remember him !

  • nikkigrace24

SIMBA because he had a rough life as a cub and was forced to flee, ending up in a jungle paradise. He soon found out that he was to become king and had to mature quite quickly. But, through all of that he maintained some of his cublike innocence. His eyes are gentle and he depends on his friends and because of that he remains the most beloved king!! I love this because I can relate to Simba in a way. He’s tough only when he needs to be. Because of his life circumstances he had to swallow his pride. Being prideful is NO GOOD.

  • Derek MacDonald

Simba for sure. The lion king has always been my favorite disney movie. Me and my husband went on our very first date to the theater to see the lion king specifically to see Simba. That little lion has meaning for me, that reminds me of the day I fell in love with my soulmate.

  • Jason Provo

The MGM logo lion; his name is actually Leo. He represents my childhood; the beginning of so many classic movies I used to watch. He would appear in that cameo circle and roar and then you knew you were in for a treat!

  • 77giggles

My fav lion was the prototype for ‘Scarface’ in the Lion King… My daughter went to Tiger’s Eye Production school for tiger training, and the tiger there was the prototype. The people making the movie wanted to sketch the Lion as the LionKing, but when they saw the scar, they renamed him.. It was awesome being up close with him..

  • Jessica Finch

Simba, the Prince, off The Lion King

  • Luanne Vickery

Leo the lion University of North Alabama mascot

  • Erin Estilette

The Cowardly Lion! As a kid, The Wizard of Oz was actually kind of terrifying to me, but the cowardly lion provided cute, comic relief.

  • Pixie Witch

my favorite lion is the cowardly lion from The Wizard of Oz.

  • Natania

At the zoo in Cincinnati, Ohio is a new exhibit for this African Lion named John. The only thing in between you and the lion (John) is glass. It is amazing he comes right up to the glass, it is a bit nervous but exciting at the same time. John is a gorgeous lion, I really like how he protects his group and works cooperatively as a team. As the dominant predator lions can take the largest prey of any other carnivore in the region. John is my favorite part about going to the zoo. I spend most of my time watching him. I wouldn’t want to come face to face with him without the glass, but being that close and looking him in the eyes is incredible! I would suggest anyone who visits this zoo to stop and pay a visit to John, he’s a one of a kind.

  • Andrea Bigham

My favorite lion is my wife! She’s the most wonderful Leo there is.

  • My favorite lions are the little lions from “Read between the Lions” on PBS. Not only are they cute but also they teach kids how to read and write and make it fun to learn. They live in a library and make it come to life making libraries a fun place to be. As important as reading is, it is good to have kids want to learn and have them interested early on.

  • Richard Vargas

My favorite lion is Clarence, the cross eyed lion. He was featured in the show “Daktari”. He was found in the wilderness, but due to his eyes being crossed couldn’t hunt. He was taken to an animal preserve, and became a mascot of sorts. Occasionally we would see things from Clarence’s perspective, which was like double vision.

  • Renae Brannon

My favorite lion is Mufasa from the Disney movie Lion King.

  • Sowmya

My favorite lion is my brother! When he was 2 years old, he had a fall from 3rd floor and damaged his eyes. He is blind in one eye and can see only 30% from the other eye. He still managed to pull through the life and secured a responsible and high position in Government organisation. He is happy and content with his life and family. He is such an inspiration and guess what….. he is a ‘LEO’! God bless him and his family!!
