Believe it or not, I’m not a huge fan of chocolate! But I love sweets! Cake is my favorite thing to eat. But I don’t like chocolate cake and always make sure it’s white or yellow cake. If I had to choose a favorite chocolate brand I would say Reese’s Cups and Giradelli Carmal Square.

  • berry

My chocolate is Story is that i Love Anything Chocolate… whether Choc Chip Biscuits or Cadbury’s Tumble Chocolate… Chocolate makes me calm and just amps me up when I’m doing my work…. I once kissed a girl with Chocolate in my mouth 🙂

  • 77giggles

I remember (and reminisce) all the Christmases that my oma bought 16 bags of chocolate ‘coins’ that were enveloped in yellow mesh bags. She always bought one bag for each of us grandkids, and when we all went home Christmas Eve, we were allowed to pick one off the tree to take home with us. We always had a wonderful time at my grandparents’ house, 16 grandkids, 10 adults, lots of food, song and presents.. Those were the days of when families got together to celebrate..

    • Deb

I bought those for my kids stockings. Those and lifesaver books.

      • 77giggles

Oh yeah! The lifesaver books!! I remember them too!

    • Diane

I used to love those. Are they still around?

  • Carolyn Warner

My chocolate story is that I rarely make it because my husband isn’t supposed to have any but on his birthday he gets any kind of chocolate anything he wants!!

  • edeliz

My mom had this family tradition of having a box of Whitman’s Chocolates for us to open every Christmas morning. I’ve continued the same tradition as I love anything chocolate.

  • Marce McHone

I love chocolate anything. It is perfect to treat low blood sugars quickly, though in a low i have a tendency to over indulge which then makes me high, i treat the hugh, then go low, treat the low again, then… well you get the picture…. chocolate is the best!!! 🙂 <3

  • Leslie George

    The Chocolate Story.
Chocolate is my biggest weakness. I can eat chocolate all day, it kind of make me happy. My wife tells me she is happy so she does not have to cook for me if I can survive on chocolate. Besides chocolate is good for the heart and that is the best. Umm chocolate, you make me happy.

  • mary

I was about 7… and thought my mom hid some chocolate in the medicine cabinent, ended up eating the whole box… it wasnt. Any guesses as to what it was? Needless to say I was home from school til “ran” thru my system.

    • Diane Krumenaker Eugenio

      Oh, no!

  • Melissa Furr

My chocolate story is a bit funny…like most of my stories, this one involves myself, my older brother, and some chocolate that was not meant to be eaten as a treat. My great grandmother always allowed us kids to do whatever the heck we wanted. So one night, she’s getting ready to go to bed, she tells us to stay out of the chocolate in the cupboard. So, as soon as we know for sure she’s asleep, we go get the chocolate squares. They were wrapped in foil, with no other markings. We both had about 4 one inch square pieces. Well, after about an hour, our stomaches start to churn. I mean, you could hear our bellies across the room. My grandmaw only had one bathroom, so for the rest of the night and most of the next day, my brother and I fought over the toilet. If you’re old enough, you remember when ex-lax made the chocolate version of their medicine. Needless to say, we paid severely for not listening to grandmaw this time. I’ll never forget how miserable we were after that chocolate bar.

    • Diane Krumenaker Eugenio

      Poor thing!

  • Richard Jefferson

Well…..I can’t really share my favorite chocolate story as it might make this site lose its non-X-rated status LOL. Suffice it to say we both loved chocolate. 🙂

  • ramadevi

Chocolates…….yap. I eat them any time. Even at 1200 in the night after returning from work. I eat it while surfing on my tablet. I cant resist my crave for chocolates. I say to myself every time- “Ya, it is OK only one now, I should control next time. But next time is next time”. Ha ..ha….. Same every time. I should not eat chocolate late at night. If my son see me eating at night he teaches me to watch my weight etc. Now I am small kid at home when I eat chocolates. My son always make fun of me when I eat chocolate.

  • Kenya Sims

My grandson Eiden loves anything chocolate. I have chocolate bars in my fridge for him all the time on the shelf where he can reach them. Eiden is 3 yrs old and will take his chocolate any and everywhere with him even to bed. Just last week I woke up to a chocolate covered pillow. Got to love him and his chocolate.

  • Brian Vaughn

Let’s just say I eat it everyday.

  • Timothy Mccollum

I love chocolate my wife knows that so she sent me a box of chocolate and I ate the whole thing baby…

  • Bonnie

CHOCOLATE!!! I crave it, I need it, I LOVE it! I always make sure there is chocolate in the house. Be it candies or ice cream, brownies or cookies, even syrup. Confession….sometimes when I have nothing else I will eat a couple spoons of chocolate syrup to calm my sweet tooth.

  • Paul Clément

Chocolate? Who said chocolate? Don’t say chocolate ’cause I’m a chocolate freak and when I hear the word chocolate I simply go crazy. Chocolate? Where’s the chocolate? I want some chocolate!

  • DM

My son loved chocolate and so do I. So I always made his birthday cake chocolate. For his 10th birthday he was very sneaky and got with his Grandmother to make me one but it was on his birthday not mine. Too funny. He had two chocolate bday cakes that year. Good memories.

  • Megan Chorniak

I didn’t choose the chocolate life. The chocolate life chose me. That’s my chocolate story.

  • Sue W.

My chocolate story is that I bought a chocolate fountain. My sister was having a party for my nephews and asked me to bring it. This was it’s first use….I was never so glad it was not at my house….those kids had chocolate EVERYWHERE!! It dripped on the counter, on the floor, on the table…there were even chocolate fingerprints on the wall….LOL for her, when it was used at my house, it was outside!

  • Tanisha Deans

My chocolate story is I am the daughter of a certified chocoholic and I picked up the habit. I love chocolate candy, cookies, cake…anything chocolate! I truly believe that chocolate make anything taste better. I’m not a chocolate snob though. I eat Godiva and Lindt truffles and I eat holiday candy from the Dollar Tree. I just LOVE chocolate! Always have and always will.

  • Marlene Allen Way

I love chocolate more than my husband. Enough said.

  • Carol Miller

My chocolate story is from when I was in Switzerland and toured the Tuescher Chocolate Kitchens in Zurich. Tuescher Chocolates (which I, previously, had never heard of) started out in a little town in the Swiss Alps by a man named Dolf Tuesch. They told us he worked years on not only getting the freshest ingredients but making sure there were no preservatives or chemicals of any kind in his recipes. The kitchens, in typical Swiss fashion, were immaculately clean and all of the workers were very happy with smiles on their faces (probably from indulging in the most delicious chocolate they were making.) Now the chocolate that I absolutely loved was the house special, Champagne Truffles. It is made with fresh cream, butter and chocolate with a champagne cream center and dusted with confectioners sugar. I am wishing I had one now as I am describing it. It was the smoothest most delicious piece of chocolate I ever ate, even better than Godiva. I bought a box of them and I can tell you they didn’t last long. I found out that they shipped too so I had a box shipped to me on Christmas and told myself it was my birthday present (because I was born on Christmas Day.)

  • Nisha

No story behind chocolate but i am a devoted chocolate lover. I can do anything for chocolate.

  • Domenic Suriano

My chocolate story is any double chocolate bundt cake dipped in lava Nutella spread it is too difficult to explain but it easy to compare to heaven.

  • Deb

  • Diane Lane

Hersey Pennsylvania the story of chocolate.

  • Merm123

I will never forget our school trip to the Hershey factory where they made chocolate. It was awesome. I felt like I was in the Willy Wonka movie and chocolate heaven. Watching how it was made and down these conveyors pouring out in huge sums into big vats .We all wanted to stick our tongues out to taste these rivers of chocolate. At the end of our school trip we got to buy chocolate and ate it on the bus. I felt so sorry for the bus driver and teachers as we were oh so wound up lol. Best trip I’ve ever been to as a kid and most memorable.

  • Sylvia

At Easter we would find baskets filled with the most exquisite and delectable chocolate bunnies and chicks. My moms best friend was a talented candy maker and the molds she used were vintage creating the most intricate bunnies. However, my little brother would get up before everyone on Easter morning and bite the heads off all the rabbits. I was so upset but the following year the “EasterBunny” devised his own revenge. When Randy woke up instead of finding beautiful bunnies he found a basket filled with fresh carrots, radishes and cucumbers. He wailed so loudly he awakened everyone in the house and only then did our baskets of bunnies appear. I looked lovingly at the gorgeous chocolate bunny in my basket and then bit off its head.

  • Erin Barr

My chocolate story was really tring to keep my children’s heads out of a chocolate fountain while at a wedding. It was challenging to say the least.

  • Stacie Snow

when our girls were little they would say that they were allergic to chocolate but always wanted a Hershey bar if we went to the store!

  • rose morgan

Double leaps of happiness when I heard chocolate was good for me.

  • Erin Estilette

Really, I can’t narrow it down to one. I have never met chocolate I didn’t like!

  • Diane Krumenaker Eugenio

When I was about 10 years old, I traveled with my group at summer camp to the Hershey factory in PA. At that time, you didn’t go through an “exhibit” in a moving car. You walked through the actual factory. It smelled so delicious!!!

  • Rebecca lee

My favourite chocolate story is the first time I saw a chocolate fountain whilst at a wedding reception. Wow!! Layers and layers of never ending liquid chocolate cascading down, I thought things like that only existed in Charlie’s chocolate factory!! There were numerous treats to dip in the chocolate from strawberries to marshmallows. Forget the three course meal, I’ll be at the chocolate fountain!!

  • Cynthia Zimmerman

Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate. Can’t get enough chocolate. When I am down, I eat chocolate. It helps me relax and bring my spirits up. My favorite chocolate would have to be: chocolate cake, chocolate icing and then strawberries and glaze on top. YUM!!!!!

  • Michaele Dalin Goodson

Like most the world I LOVE chocolate! When I was a kid I spotted a chocolate bar in the pantry, what a treasure! I broke off a piece and popped it in my mouth….then immediately spit it out!! It was unsweetened baking chocolate LOL

    • Deb

      Oh, I know….it tastes terrible.

      • Michaele Dalin Goodson

  • Colleen Goodbrand

Whenever I visit Niagara Falls, Ontario, there is a certain candy shop that I just can’t resist! They make on site chocolate, caramel and pecan delights that are the size of a bread and butter plate!! Mega calories, but I TRY ( emphasis on TRY) to spread the consumption of said treat over 3 or 4 days. But sometimes it just take 1 day to eat it!

  • Sharde Walker

My chocolate story is simple and sweet. I love CHOCOLATE! I’m like Bubba in the movie Forest Gump. I like Milk Chocolate, white chocolate, dark chocolate, chocolate infused with chilli, chocolate infused with orange, chocolate truffles, chocolate fountains, chocolate cake, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate ice cream, and chocolate covered anything. If I was a stripper, my name would be chocolate! Lol

  • Heather Alex Nunn

I’ll tell it as I was told by my father.

I was 4 maybe 5 years old at the time, it was a weekday morning so my mom was at work and my brother at school it was just my father and me. Dad worked 3rd shift and would get home around 2 am after work and sleep to at least 9-9:30 am. One morning he wakes up and heads up stairs to find his little girl awaiting him at the top of the stairs. She (I) was covered with chocolate, up and down her arms, hands, her shirt and face!! That’s when Dad notices the reason I was standing atop the stairs, she (I) was trying to be a door to the area between the back of the couch and the wall. For this was the hiding place for her Nesquik bin that still had the spoon sticking out of it.

So my father, now that he knows all the facts with me still believing him to be deceived, asks, “Heather, have you been eating the Nesquik Chocolate Powder?”

To which I reply, with chocolate covering me almost entirely and the actual Nesquik bin in eyesight behind me, “No Daddy, Not me!”

  • justinkeene

This just happened yesterday, so the timing is perfect. A roommate of mine was turning 70 years old He had had a really bad July, health wise but I didn’t know the details. I thought we REALLY ought to do something for him even though he said he didn’t want anything done. I bought a chocolate two layer cake with chocolate cream cheese frosting and a raspberry filling between the layers. When I surprised him with it, he told me what was going on: He was just told that because of 1) ulcers he could no llonger eat chocolate 2) He was also just told, that day, that he needed to get his gallbladder removed and could not eat high fat (frosting) 3) He hated raspberry filling, but liked raspberries. THAT i didnt know either. Three strikes and your out right!!?? I also gave him a gift certificate to his favorite book store. THAT he could use. The ,only good part is that we couldn’t return the cake! so the rest of us chocoholics helped him out. What else could we do???

  • Diane Krumenaker Eugenio

Sounds exciting but I couldn’t do the walk!

    • Karen T

I read on the site that they have accommodations such as shuttles and I know that for a fact they have ferries to and from the island. So if you ever get the chance you should check it out.

      • Diane Krumenaker Eugenio

        Good to know! Thanks, Karen!!!

  • Lucky_Mosqueda

Hmmm, that time I decided to recreate this huge chocolate cake from Matilda (yes, Miss Trunchbull’s favorite snack) in which I found the recipe on Delish’s YouTube channel (came out as expected and Miss Trunchbull didn’t punish me for it!)? Or that time I baked a chocolate cake for my mother and replaced the oil for avocado in the recipe, then surprised her when I told her the secret ingredient? She liked it right away, and you don’t taste the avocado in the cake anyway. Either way, they both were great. Now, what is Miss Trunchbull doing nowadays since the reunion?

  • Alicia Diem

My chocolate story is Carmel, Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, Hershey syrup and a little Oreo cookies.

  • Lynn Gorfine

BooHoo! I’m allergic to chocolate. Most people think that is awful but after 20 years of being allergic, I don’t like the taste and don’t have a craving for it. I just wish that products were made with great carmel. There is not enough of that!

  • Ray Ayala

Christopher Columbus brought back the chocolate (cocoa) bean to Queen Isabel of Spain, but she ignored this import. Later, Hernando Cortez brought it back again to a subsequent King Carlos V and this time it became popular.

The first time, the Spaniards did not like it because it is bitter. Hernando’s group decided to add sugar. (Hernando Cortez is really smart as we will see in a moment.)

The Aztec language has many words that end in tl including the name of their language. Their language is called Nahuatl. The Aztecs named the drink chocolatl. The Spaniards changed the ending to chocolate because it was too hard to pronounce tl. In the Aztec language, chocolatl means “warm drink.”

The Aztecs also used the cocoa bean as currency. Hernando Cortez, around 1519, made his own chocolatl bean plantation. Hernando Cortez figured out that money really can grow on trees.

  • Adrienne White

I’ve been loving and eating chocolate ever since I was a baby. My favorite chocolate item has to be the of the chocolate waterfall! When I first glanced at the chocolate waterfall, I had to reach and grab the very first piece of fruit and just stick it in the giantic waterall! The taste of the chocolate and the fruit together was such a satisfying and fulfilling experience for me. The choloate itself is soooooooo fresh, sweet, and delectible! The piece of fruit was out of this world. I hope I can get a chance to view it again not just to witness its chocolate pageantry as it is falling; but, to just experience the marvelous fresh taste of chocolate!!!

  • Kristin Pearce

Absolutely love some white chocolate. Add it to anything or have a bite on its own!

  • Carla Coles

Chocolate is not one of my favorite I eat it once in a while like about twice a year or less. I like the taste of sour/sweet candy now that is good eating. You know gummy bears and worms. Love that strong sour taste so, so good

  • Deyonna Ceasar

My chocolate story has everything to do with this North Carolina heat and my two youngest children. So being the nice mom that I am I let my kid pick out a snack and of course my 5 year old picks CHOCOLATE (in her Ana and Elsa voice). It was a Kit-Kat her favorite by far. I reminded her 3 times to grab it when she got out of the car. What did she do? Forget the 2 pieces she had left the car in her brothers car seat at that. The next day we are heading out and she helps her brother into his car seat not paying attention to the chocolate. I quickly buckle him in and start driving off once she is buckled. All I hear is “EWWWW Handsome has poop on his hands”. I look in my rear view mirror and my child has brown stuff all over him and is starting to put his hands in his mouth. I am screaming for him not to while trying to frantically pull over. For those wondering no I could not smell the melted chocolate because I was sick and heading to the store for meds. He has his hand in his mouth while I am grabbing at the pack of wipes. He tries to give me some while laughing and I am dodging his hands. I pull him out after wiping off his hands only to find what? The Kit-Kat in his car seat. Never again is my 5 yr old allowed to have chocolate in my vehicle.

Recently, my 4 year old daughter caught me sneaking a fistfull of Hershey’s miniatures. She thought I was making dinner. She bounces up behind me and asked, most sincerely, “Whatcha makin’ Mommy?” I presume she was hungry; I was about to make dinner after all, but for the life of me, I didn’t want her to see my chocolate shame. She had me in a corner. I couldn’t move a muscle without her seeing the chocolate wrappers in my hand. When she finally saw the wrapper carnage, my sinfulness was all over her wee face. She asked, “Why are you having chocolates before dinner, mommy?” I stammered. I said something about Dementors. She simply put out a hand. I gave her a chocolate. She ate it, quietly. She didn’t run off to show her sister. She just sweetly ate her chocolate. At dinner, however, she wasn’t eating her food saying she wasn’t hungry. I reminded her of our little chocolate moment and she actually ate the fish and broccoli on her plate!

  • sherry mallory

my story short and sweet I like chocolate covered ants. there suppose to be a delicatecy.

  • MT

The first time I helped my grandma make chocolate chip cookies. I felt like I was on top of the world, even though I’m sure I was more in the way than anything. But grandma acted like I was a big help and that is one of my best memories of my grandma. She always had time to show you how to do something and never acted like it was an inconvenience. I wish I had one tenth of the patience she had.

When I was small, around 6, I was under the impression that I did not like chocolate. So much so, that I had my older sister forge a letter from my dad, excusing me from eating chocolate. I had noticed chocolate cake on an upcoming school menu. On the day we had chocolate cake, all my friends were enjoying the delicious looking desert. I hesitantly took a small bite, and decided I liked it, then a teacher’s aide came and reminded me I wasn’t supposed to eat chocolate. I had to leave the rest of the cake untouched.

On Kayla’s 1st birthday (that’s my daughter), I got her 2 cakes. One so she could get it all over the place, dig her hands in, throw her mouth into it, whatever she wanted to, and the other one was of course finger less for our guests to eat and Kayla too. I got vanilla and chocolate to see which one she liked the best. I figured I was being smart by putting the vanilla one in front of her, less clean up, compared to chocolate. She didn’t dive into it like I thought she would. She took one finger and swiped it neatly on the side of the cake and licked the icing off. My sister took her hand and smashed it into the middle of the cake, and she got so mad and started crying, we were telling her to lick it off. She wanted nothing to do with it after that. I cleaned her up (which wasn’t much at all) and got her down and we all moved to the living room to watch her play with her toys. About 30 minutes later her Dad went to the kitchen and Kayla followed. Next thing I heard was, “Kayla, no no!” and then a thud. I ran to that area and she was sitting on the floor with chocolate cake everywhere just going to town on it. It was so funny and the cutest thing I have ever seen. It was in her hair, all over her face, and everywhere else. Talk about a mess. I guess my plan backfired on me. Her Dad said he seen it coming down but couldn’t get to it quick enough. I don’t know how much of that I believe. At least I can say Kayla definitely enjoyed her 1st birthday cake!

  • Theresa Holly

I love anything made with chocolate. But i enjoyed a trip to Hershey, PA to see how it is made and we got free samples afterwards. So yummy!!

My sister had a chocolate fountain at her wedding. Well I decided to go through the line with no plate. I thought I could just grab a quick little bite and then worry about getting more later. Needless to say I wore it the rest of the night.

  • Richie Russell

It was my 25th birthday, and thought nobody was going to celebrate so I bought myself a double chocolate biirthday cake and sat by myself and ate the entire cake with milk; only to find out that some friends bought me a chocolate cake as well for my birthday, in which I had to partake in eating.I ate so much chocolate cake I was green. I didnt eat chocolate for a whole week( yeah I know a whole week!). I learned now to wait until for sure before holding my own pity party..I still love chocolate even though my stomach and thighs showed the results.

  • Kari McDowell

Mine is probably one many people have had. When I was about 12 my mother let me hide Chocolate Easter Bunnies until the holiday. Well, I put them in the closet in our garage and of course when she went to get them on Easter morning they were nothing but a blob of chocolate. She was so angry with me, but at least my Dad thought it was funny. A blob with two of those candy eyes peeking out. Freaky Easter!

  • MyKinKStar

When white chocolate candy bars came out it’s all wanted to eat. My then boyfriend said it looked like lard and ah, it kinda does and hard as I tried I couldn’t get it out of my mind and er, I guess it was a good thing cause I was eating too much and perhaps that was his motive . . . I eat it now every now and then, without any issues, and don’t see it as Crisco!

  • michele

Oh Easter morning. My basket was filled with all kind of chocolate.ballerinas, bunnies, crosses and everything you could imagine that was popular at the time. The best part about it is the store is still in business. it has been family owned for over 100 years now. When I went this past Easter I bought my grand children Mickey mouse, star wars and I could go on and on. But, the best part is looking back on the chocolate molds they still used when I was a child. Actually the best part was the same great taste.

  • dottie p

  • Javip Pozo

I like its design and it is easy to manipulate it when opening the garage door
    Annoying advice

My chocolate story is fabulous and this happened 8 years ago it all started with a nice friendship with Candy but I wanted her much more I wanted to be her boyfriend but she saw me as her friend until we went to walk with our parents we went camping to A yogi forest in the we enjoyed a lot with the animated character laughing and playing until I came up with some crevezas that I hid from my parents asked me if I should show Candy and lightning! I did it
She told me that she had not taken it in a long time and that the last time was in the house of her good cousin and the exciting thing about this is that she accepted without hesitation so we escaped to a quiet place and started to take Jack Daniels in A romantic forest with the girl that I loved was a dream come true I thought that maybe I could spend something more so good I approve the moment and I wanted to declare myself with her and she laughed out loud Haa haa ha ha ha !!!! It was like telling an excellent joke was a bit uncomfortable but voltio and told me very seriously is it true? And I told him clear !!! Yeah .. it’s what I feel I’ve felt for you since I met you so she was shocked I do not know if it was the place the moment but she approached me and told me that I had never had such a great romantic time with someone So for me it was wonderful to be touched !! a lot!!! Then she told me you know I never saw you alone as a friend I always saw you as someone who was there to cheer me up that always made me laugh and I love that you do it guauuu !!! Call 911 haha .. I did not think he would tell me that so he approached me and gave me a big kiss on the lips passionately I think things went on and started to take off my clothes and undress me too !! Isss genia !!! I had the girl of my dreams in a place away from the romantic city with alcohol above and here enters the main protagonist of this story SNIkers this chocolate made me fly to paradise because when we were in the privacy she asked me a question and she said Imagine that I am a candy but I do not have cover with which you would raise me all over the body so I thought of chocolate is the first thing that I came up with !! So get the melted chocolate out of my pocket and pass it all over the body god !!! And what happened then I left them to your imagination so the chocolate gave me one of the most passionate experiences of my life guys do not forget to take your chocolate in your pockets since you do not know when you can serve haha

This chocolate mishap should take the cake. You know having older siblings come in handy at times but there are times that you could just kill them. Well I have a sibling that after grad the next day when everyone was hung over thought he’d make me pancakes with chocolate chips. My favorite breakfast but the one thing is that it’s good if they were actually chocolate chips and not exlax cubes. Let’s just say that I counted all the cracks in my folks tiles in their washroom. Nice brother I have. Jerk! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/e2d55188197af070697f827609fd1c43a2412e6f590b8ab7e6fc00b6232f6404.jpg
