The winners

See who won our 1502 daily question below.

  1. jock – Anyone who knows Shah Janah will easily think of Taj Mahal. Built in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal who died giving birth to their 14th child. Taj Mahal meaning Crown of the Palace is a shining example of a husbands love affection grief and sorrow. The Mausoleum is complex houses the wifes tomb in the center and completed in 1653 after more than 2 decades of construction. Taj Mahal was incribed as UNESCO heritage site in 1983 and continues to be a beacon structure of love. The day I set foot in the complex I cried for an unknown reason but I felt something random that I couldnt explain. Just staring at the Taj Mahal will awe you to pieces. Its just magnificent and spiritual.
  2. Marie Angelie Delima – My favorite Love story is about my Mom and Dad back in the Philippines. My dad was a so-called rich kid before (he’s a child of a Government official), and my mom was a poor girl living in a small house with just her mother and her big brother. One time, my father wants to ride a train to go somewhere when he saw my mother (who,he said, looks so adorable) sitting on the corner, eating ice cream. He sat beside her, they talk a lot of funny stuff, and eventually tried to give each other home addresses so that they can write letters every now and then. My dad admit that ever since that train incident, he can’t help himself but think of her and how mom changed his perception about living a simple life. Now, they’re still together, happy and contented. Their love story taught me one thing: LOVE KNOWS NO BOUNDARIES.
  3. Ken Grant – Boaz and Ruth.
  4. Sowmya – I must say ‘Gone with the wind’. I am not even born when the movie was released. I saw the movie in 1980 after 40 years of it’s release, when I was 20 years old. All the characters are brilliantly portrayed, and you start to feel their pain after a while. Excellent movie!!
  5. Christina G’Angeli – My grandparents! They met at a spaghetti dinner for WWII soldiers that where about to ship out. According to the story my grandfather started it all by making monkey faces at her across the room. They married shortly after my grandfather came home from the war and where together until his death 11 years ago. My grams never remarried and insisted on having a picture of my grandfather in each room of the house so she could talk to him no matter where and what she was doing. She passed away last week three days shy of her 95th birthday and while it’s been difficult, I keep reminding myself she’s finally back with the love of her life.
  6. Diane Krumenaker Eugenio – Actually, the movie “Love Story is my favorite love story. To this day, I can’t watch it without crying! “Love means never having to say you’re sorry.” Now THAT I may not agree with, but the movie’s still great!
  7. Carrie D – Love story (movie) is “The Notebook” It’s my favorite tear jerker!
  8. Rebecca lee – My favourite love story is Bonnie and Clyde. It’s not your typical love story but I think its so romantic. Bonnie was a well educated, well spoken and intelligent young women however when she met Clyde it was love at first sight. Bonnies love for Clyde took her on to the wrong side of the law and yet they were devoted to each other. They agreed that they would rather die together than be separated, and this came true in a hail of police bullets. The sad thing is that they longed to be buried together but Bonnies family refused to allow it. They were criminals and what they did was wrong, but I see it as a tragic love story, full of excitement and one that still holds a place in America’s heart.
  9. Noel Stewart – The maid and the milkman is my favorite love story. The maid was my Mom and the Milkman, my Dad, delivered milk to the maid two days a week back in the 1930’s! WWII interrupted their marriage and delayed their family; eventually the two were blessed with three children.
  10. Deb – Being a mom, my favorite love story is ‘Stella Dallas’. It stars Barbara Stanwyck and is the story of a mother’s self-sacrificing love for her daughter. If you’ve never seen it….spoiler alert !….it’s a real tear jerker.
  11. Michaele Dalin Goodson – My mom & dad , she was mowing the grass, and he and a friend road by. My dad said he saw her and told his friend” that’s going to be my wife” and here I am. She was fifteen and he was nineteen, they were married four days after my mom’s sixteenth birthday. This year would have been Thier 57th anniversary. We lost my dad to cancer in 2013. We were raised in a house full of love. They flirted with each other all the time. She showed me how to be a good wife and life partner.
  12. Michael Jiang – Mid-February marks the beginning of mating season for many birds. Even the great Shakespeare wrote in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, “Saint Valentine is past: Begin these wood-birds but to couple now?” Among the most faithful of birds, swans choose a mate and stay with them for life.
  13. Jim Laubach – My favorite love story is the story of my life with Katie, my wife for the past 35-plus years. I’d had a failed marriage before, and was dating quite a bit. But when I met her, I knew instantly that we were destined for one another. I proposed 2 months later. We’re not only lovers, we’re best friends too. I became disabled in 2000, and she has taken incredibly good care of me. She is the love of my life, mother to our 6 children and grandmother to 3 grandsons. We are inseparable.
  14. Sylvia – I think the most heart tugging love story is between a child and their mother. At the beginning of every year I have an open house so I can meet and greet the parents of my kindergarten students. I always remind my students to make sure they introduce me to their parents since I have never met them. One year as I was reminding my little ones of this request Issac raised his hand to reassure me that I would know his mom right away because she would be the most beautiful person in the room. I was so touched by this innocent outpouring of love from a child to his mom I almost cried. Wouldn’t the world be a much better place if we could love with the purity and acceptance of a child?
  15. Christy – Mine! 8 years in an abusive relationship but that was only to have been given 2 beautiful daughters because when I found my true love, he had been wounded 4 times in Vietnam and was unable to have kids. We married when my daughters were 2 and 5 so he raised them with me. We had humble, tough beginnings but we stayed strong and the reward is that we’ve been married 26 years and have 2 daughters and 2 amazing grandchildren. Everything in life happens for a reason. You may not know why it happened until 25 years have gone by but at some point you’ll realize that it all worked out the way it was supposed to!
  16. Natania – They met in 1965, their freshman year and she fell madly in love as her eyes met his. They dated off and on, for the next four years. He went out on several dates with other girls, but continuously came back. She never went out with anyone else, knowing her feelings were so strong for this man. She just new as he matured and got older, they would be together forever, so she waited patiently. He asked her to their senior prom in 1969, and for the first time he told her he loved her. After graduation, he went into the military and once again she waited on him. They wrote love letters almost everyday and talked on the phone. In 1972, he came home and they wasted no time getting to the alter. They planned their wedding in a week, and she went back with him and they lived on base. They had 3 daughters and moved back to Kentucky in 1978 where they raised their family. He was an air traffic controller and sold real estate. He worked hard so his wife could stay home with the girls. Tragically in 1994 he passed away at 42 years old. I will never forget that day because it was my Dad. My Mom has all the letters they ever wrote. Still to this day my Mom has never been with another man. She doesn’t even have any desire to. I don’t think there is to many people who can say they have only had 1 partner in their life, especially these days. My Mom and Dad were so much in love, I hardly ever heard them fight, they were so romantic and always made sure to take are of each other.
  17. Judy Burba McGarvey – Mine would be my Mom and Dad’s story. She went to work at her uncle’s little country store when she was sixteen. My dad had just moved down to his dad’s farm for the summer. One day after plowing fields all day, he walked down to the store for a cold drink. She took one look at him and said “Goodness, you’re a mess!” and he said “Goodness, I think I’m in love.” So he started coming in every day and her uncle told him he’d better go talk to her Daddy. And that’s just what he did. He married “his little brown-eyed country girl” when she was just seventeen and they were married 62 years when he passed two years ago.
  18. Karen T – My favorite love story took place September 13, 1983 at 3:26 p.m., the afternoon that I finally got to hear my newborn ❤ son’s soft little cry😅. I’d never felt so much pure, deep and unconditional love from a human being! It is the most profound kind love I could ever experience and no one could ever change.☺.
  19. Boston_Mama84 – The greatest love story for me has to be the one of my parents. This upcoming September will be their 50th wedding anniversary and if you know my parents, then you know they are the epitome of the word soul mates. There has not been a day gone by that my parents did not say i love you to one another nor kiss eachother. They always speak of their love and how when they first met they each felt tingles throughout their bodies and seen this bright yellow light surrounding them, almost like a tether. Everyone who has ever known them always feels blessed to be able to witness their love. They are like one and as each day passes their relationship grows stronger. I have yet to find another couple so in love, so in tune, so undeniably perfect for eachother. Because of them I have not lost hope. They make me believe there are soul mates in the world, so i will keep searching for my other half
  20. Paul Clément – My favourite love story is that of my parents. The first met when children. They were about 6 or seven years old back in the late 20’s. As neighbours, the often played together and dad always had a chuckle telling us he first slept with mom when they were kids. In 1940, dad crossed the ocean to join many others in defending and liberating Normandy, France, Belgium and the Netherlands while mom waited on the home front. Fortunately for us (8 siblings), he returned, went back to dating mom and they married in May 1947. Together, they raised 8 children and had a simple but loving life. Sadly, mom has passed but dad has never forgotten to remind us how much she meant to him. He is not in the best of health right now but continues to be a beacon in our family much as he has always been and this Valentine’s Day, we reflect on the perfect love story in our lives: Mom and Dad, you have shown us what true love really is. Thank you!

Elizabeth, again there is no link for referral code. 2nd time this is happening. I have no clue why. My name is there on the winners list. Where can I get the referral code, please advise. Thanks.

    • Karen T

This is what I click on to get my referral code. I found it in an Old Post. http://www.vindale.com/v/members/refer.jsp.
You can also click on your name above and look for another time that you posted your referral code. Then copy and paste it here.

I’m not sure what’s going on. I can’t find today’s 2-16-17 reward code, or any information about the winners for daily question #1504. I haven’t seen that link to click on to get the referral code for a couple of months now.

      • Sowmya

Thank you Karen for your help. As you suggested, I just got the code from the old post and copy pasted it. Hope it works. Still I am not sure how the code thing works. I was under the impression that every time Vindale provides different referral code to the winners.

        • Karen T

You’re welcome. And each member is assigned 1 specific code that you use all the time. And I just remembered this; when you’re on the home page, click on the ” got paid survey questions, get paid survey answers” Box that has a picture of a mom with a baby. Then towards the bottom it says get your referral code. Click that and you’ll find it.☺

          • Sowmya

            Got it!! 🙂
