I love being a mom. I have a son and a daughter and i love them both dearly. They have brought so much joy to my life. My step-son was a challenge but, has turned out to be fabulous. My 8 grandchildren are a major bonus. They brighten my days. I enjoyed playing on the floor with them with their toys. I loved reading to them. I loved teaching them. I loved the amazing look on their little faces when they learned something new. It is truly a gift from God to have children to bless your life. Life without childre would be so lonely. They teach their parents so much. What a wonderful, blessed thing to experience. You love your children forever and they never cease to amaze you, even whe they are grown. Be thankful for your children. Pray for them and bless them daily.

What a sweet mother I had. Her name says everything about her, “Comfort”. I’m the youngest of 7 children, but I don’t recall her complaining about anything, except maybe the weather. Her house was always open to those in need and there was always an extra place available at the table. Her life was not easy, as we didn’t have a lot of extras, but we were content and happy. I strive to be like her, in generosity, foregiveness, and doing the absolute best you can do, every day, with what you have been given.

I stopped reading here. Please send me copies of the different age
groups. I would enjoy reading them and perhaps making some suggestions that would instill re=rewrite. I am happy to edit copy that is bound to self-publishing. Try Lightning Source.

As this Mother’s Day approaches, I have much for which to be grateful. My daughter just gave birth to a healthy baby girl a few days ago and my mother was there to see it. We took a four generation photo.

I remember, decades ago, my cousin had a baby and they took a five generation photo. I remember my great-grandmonther sitting in a wheelchair, holding the baby. The baby grew up into a beautiful young lady who recently lost her life in an auto accident. She left behind two young sons.

I look at the little life my daughter has produced and I think about the hardships that she will endure. Then I think about the joy she will bring. There is nothing that equals being a mother, except, maybe, being a grandmother.

When I had my daughter, my mother told me payback was hell. I told my daughter the same thing. When my daughter had her baby, my mother told me payback is a blessing. Someday, when my daughter is watching her grandchild come into the world, I’ll tell her the same thing.

There is nothing as wonderful as being a mother…except being a grandmother. I wonder…what is the life of a great-grandmother. And, those rare and elusive great-great-grandmother’s, sitting in their wheelchairs holding a newborn. I believe the simple joy of motherhood inceases with each generation.

I love where I live because it is in fact near the city mall and the city pool. My mom works right on the next block and its a walking distance, I love taking walks on the small ‘beach’ down the road. It is called Magic Island, you can walk, play beach ball/volley ball, they have an Easter egg hunt every year down there. This year I am taking my 8 month old son with me. I will be moving close to here in a few months when I get on HUD hopefully that will be soon, I never really go anywhere else then where I am now for I have no reason to. Everything is right where I can get to it.
