Meet Ana
My name is Ana Paredes. I am a single mother of 4 and enjoy it everyday. I am a teacher that loves to teach all ages. I have been in classrooms from Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grades. I have also been a substitute in all grades as well. Teaching comes naturally to me and I love to see little faces light up when they finally get it. It is an amazing feeling. I also teach adults. I am an ESL teacher one night a week for our Literacy Council that I am also a director for. These classes are also rewarding. These students are here cause they want to learn and we make it fun while learning English.
The past few months
My life has been good, but these past few months a little challenging. I recently was put in the hospital due to a staph infection in my thumb that ended up to getting part of it amputated. Yes I now have half of a left thumb. I am thankful that it was caught in time before it had spread more in my bone or my hand. Due to this I had to stop working to give my body a chance to heal and it left me with many bills unpaid and if I dont work there is no money. I am currently looking for a full time job because again I am a single mom.
What she’s learned so far
What I learned from this experience and continue learning is trust in GOD and then those who really love you and care will come to your help. I found that the most incredible man was right in front of me all along. He has been my only support through all my ordeals and continues to push me to continue to “get things done”. He is my biggest motivator even when he lives an hr and half away. I am making lots of progress in my life. I am looking into going back to school and get my Masters degree and want to put my talents to good use. I am going to become a School diagnostician. This is my goal…:) :
